Cleaner, improved Combustion

AB Catalyst is a combustion catalyst that reduces fuel consumption, improves reliability, and reduces emissions for industries that burn coal and biofuels.

Testimonials.

What Customers Are Saying

"The catalyst has proved without any doubt that it saved major input costs, but also reduced all emissions considerably."

- Utilities Superintendent (Manufacturing)

"The catalyst reduced slag buildup on furnace and convection section tubes. We have no hesitation recommending this product."

- Chief Engineer Mechanical Maintenance (Power Station)

"We used a lower grade coal with the catalyst and the combustion was better than using the higher grade coal without the catalyst. Switching from the high grade coal to the low grade coal without sacrificing performance was a major cost savings for us."

- Operational Chief, Generation (Power Station)

"We achieved a 32% reduction in CO2, 65% reduction in CO, and a 28% reduction in NOx with the catalyst."

- Managing Director (Biomass cogeneration)

Minimize slagging and fouling, maximize efficiency.

Decrease the frequency of unscheduled downtime, maintenance and repairs by using AB Catalyst to minimize slagging and fouling.

AB Catalyst reduces the cohesive strength of the ash, so that solid ash does not melt and fuse to surfaces inside the boiler. The ash becomes drier and more friable for easy removal with normal soot blowing.

Use lower-cost, lower-grade coals

AB Catalyst's ability to minimize slagging and fouling means end-users can significantly reduce fuel costs by using lower-grade coals without sacrificing performance.

Without AB Catalyst

With AB Catalyst

It's cost-effective and safe.

AB Catalyst is very efficient and cost-effective. Only 200 grams of catalyst is required per 1 ton of coal. The catalyst is fed into the boiler at the point of combustion for maximum effect. The fuel savings typically more than cover the cost of the catalyst, so the vast majority of benefits come virtually free.

Extend the useful of your equipment

The catalyst does not harm equipment in any way. In fact, the catalyst protects metal surfaces against corrosion.

Environmentally safe

AB Catalyst is eco-friendly, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and non-hazardous.

Little to no maintenance

You do not need to spend valuable time and money maintaining the application system. Operations are not disrupted at all. After we install and calibrate the applicators, the only thing you must do is keep the applicator bins filled with catalyst.

More complete burn,

less fuel needed.

AB Catalyst optimizes combustion conditions to reduce fuel consumption. We typically see a 3 - 10% reduction in pulverized coal boilers and as high as 20% in chain boilers.

The catalyst lowers the ignition temperature and carbon burnout temperature of coal while generating more heat. Therefore, less coal is needed to maintain standard operating temperatures and output.

Works for coal-burning plants and biofuels

Use AB Catalyst in all boilers, industrial kilns and smelters. Biofuels, such as bagasse and palm kernel shells, can greatly benefit with the addition of AB Catalyst.

Validated by leading scientific institutes.

Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology

Inner Mongolia University conducted a series of catalytic combustion tests on AB Catalyst. They found that the heating value increases by at least 4.37% with the addition of AB Catalyst and flue gas tests proved the strong ability of AB Catalyst to oxidize CO with varying levels of oxygen. The conclusion was that:

"The catalyst combustion effect of AB Catalyst is obvious. No matter the indices of heating value of pulverized coal, or the conversion rate of CO and the burnout time of pulverized coal, the tests of each group all prove that AB Catalyst has significant combustion effects on pulverized coal."

China Coal Research Institute

CCRI's tests on AB Catalyst confirmed the catalyst is non-toxic, non-corrosive and has no negative side effects on boiler operations.

Thermogravimetric tests by CCRI showed the catalyst reduces the ignition temperature, increases the combustion rate and reduces the carbon burnout temperature of coal.
